Nas Jumpstarts Tribeca Film Festival with Documentary/Concert

Nas continues to cement his name as arguably one of the best to do this thing people thought was a fad. Hip-Hop was not suppose to make it twenty minutes let alone a year. Now we’re celebrating on of Hip-Hop’s Kings 20th Anniversary of a ground breaking album “iLLMatic”.  It wasn’t groundbreaking in the sales but that is not what Hip-Hop is based on. The emotion that you felt when listening to a track like “It Ain’t Hard to Tell” and the melodic blend of Michael Jackson’s “Human Nature” chords.

Just the mere fact that Nas a rapper from Queensbridge Projects is now being looked at as a Music ICON. This keeps a smile on a hip-hop head face. Knowing that the thing our parents told us want last past the 90’s. Nas has taken it another step by gracing the stage at Tribeca Film Festival and showcasing his upcoming documentary “Time Is iLLMatic”.  Below is the video from the performance shot by RealTalkNY.
